Well, I watch this video because my mechanic teach whose teaching me fluid properties ask me too and i'm not regretting it.
So, if you watch, the fluid is behaving like a solid beacuse of time scale, if you can hit a liquid fast enough before the particle can deform/move away, it will bahave like a solid.
Its like when you jumping into a swimming pool, it hurts like hell cause your jumping so fast that it behave lke a solid for a sec.
A non-newtonian fluid means that it can either display properties of shear thickening or shear thinning.
Shear thinning means fluid will move with less resistance thus will go even faster and vice versa 4 shear thickening.
