So what does the title have to do with each other, nothing actually, its just 3 different topic that came across my mind during this exam period. Ever since basketball was cancelled, I haven't run in a long time, so I added cardio to my gym routine.
Anyway, PASSION, its a big word and to me its mean energy, it brings energy, to whatever you are doing. I have been here in palmerston north for so long but I have not see any passion, people are really passion or they are just passionate in their mind or maybe I have been enclosed in my room for so long that I really have not see any. See so many passive things, ppl, I too kinda feel passive, its crap cause I'm now running with the crowd, something tell me that I getting more and more self-cousious. Is it bad??? sigh.... What happen to listening to God, going after dreams, doing my best.
Another is sincerity, I do have sincere friends but meeting ppl, sincere I haven't seen. Its more like automatic for ppl to greet you, hold the door for you, smile when serving you. Its not sincere, its robotic, companys expect you to do all this things when they employ you and then it becomes not sincere and so I learn not to bother with this kind of people which is bad cause I might miss out on meeting some ppl who are truly sincere, filter 1000 ppl to get to one, ok, maybe less, maybe filter 100 ppl to get to 1 person.
Or maybe to be sincere here, you have to pour in some much energy on one person, you have to focus on person. Maybe my views are not broad enough, I have not been to enough places. Need to see the world more. Esther, what have you seen during your journey, what have you learn, a lot I'm sure, I hope my capacity for ppl will grow. I pray....
As basketball player, when you join a team, the coach will ask you, how much are you willing to sacrifice, how much are you willing to give to the team, to the sports and to your self. A coach will expect you to give 120% everytime you practice or play. The player body will be undergoing a challeging lifestyle. So, during a game, when player from team A passes the ball to another player from team A, a player from team B intercept the pass and the ball got knock lose and its going out of bound. A player will jump out of the ring and save the ball before it touches the floor by throwing the ball back to his teammates. The player then crashes into the stand of ppl. Giving 120% is what the player just did. That is the mindset of a athlete.
So as a basketball player, that is how I tackle most problem, just throw my body into the stands, crash land into the ppl etc etc. A new perspective over here in NZ is I learn how to tackle problem is a different ways, I seen so many different ways how ppl tackle problems, using their heads, facing each problem uniquely, so many different ppl from different parts of the world. I guess interacting with them help a lot, so now I guess my mind is kinda processing all this information which I feel I more blur than ever before.
As a learning scientist, I need to observe more which is what I'm doing. So, right now, I have to incorporate throwing bodies and using my head to solve problems, sorta like james bond, sherlock holmes without all the guys and fighting.
